What can we do for you?

 

Dear Members,

 

We continue to seek participation from our members and ideas for events and programming.  What could we do for you?  Location is important.  Please contact me with ideas. 

 

If we could add value to you at your place of business,  this is an option. 

 

Metro accessibility is important and most events start by 6 p.m. and end by 8 p.m.  Attendees pay a small fee to defer the cost of refreshments, but we could move away from the traditional meeting location in Rosslyn to a variety of locations.

 

We serve many areas including Maryland.  Our small event near Fed Ex Field and the 495 Beltway (December 2014) had free parking and was well received by those in attendance.  Pizza and a presentation! 

 

Consider, for instance, a recent article in our IMA Strategic Finance on Profitability and Cost Allocations.   

 

Dream big and let us know how we can be of value to you, locally!  Webinars and continuing education CPEs are available to our members, including no charge events each month. Think World Wide Web global but consider the local opportunities as well!

    Founder of the Integrity Institute

     

    Lynn Brewer, most widely-known as one of Enron’s whistleblowers, is an award winning author of several books on the subject of governance, risk and compliance. Lynn is currently working on her fourth book entitled “Good to Greed: Using Big Data to Predict Corporate Failures,” which outlines her exhaustive research and development of the first quantitative model, inspired by mathematical game theory, using “big data” to predict corporate failures 1 – 2 years in advance.  

     

    During her presentation at the IMA Conference, Lynn will present the convincing case, after the analysis of 833,000 financial statements, that Enron, Bear Sterns, Lehman Brothers and hundreds of other ethical failures could be predicted 1 -2 years in advance.
